Arnhem Weavers
Arnhem Weavers is a small-scale business operating in the Mapuru Homeland since 2002 workshops for tourists interested in learning weaving techniques from Yolngu women. Mapuru’s small business needs additional support, particularly in fielding enquiries and taking bookings. The Mapuru community also wants to develop a men’s program to complement the weaving workshops. More >
Dhanaya (Spring Camp)
Dhanaya is a small homeland on Port Bradshaw. Traditional owners have permitted visitors, mostly locals, to camp at the homeland and the small scale business has been operating profitably for five years. The Gumatj Association wants to upgrade facilities at Dhanaya, formalise this business and undertaken specific marketing.
Elcho Island Dance Groups
There are several dance groups on Elcho Island that have travelled extensively and developed an international reputation. The Ratipa Dancers and Chooky Dancers both are able to offer performances for groups of visitors.
